(Posted 27 September 2015) The only solar eclipse visible from Australia in 2016 will occur on the morning of Wednesday 9 March. Residents of Northern Australia will be treated to a partial solar eclipse. An eclipse will not occur for residents of Southern Australia (see poster for more specific information).

Caution!!! Do not look directly at the Sun without solar viewing glasses or filters sold by specialist astronomical telescope shops. Doing so will result in permanent eye damage or blindness.
