Early morning risers can look above the Eastern horizon in the pre-dawn sky and easily see the planet Jupiter. To the unaided eye, it looks like a brilliant white star. If you happen to have a pair of binoculars or a telescope, look at the position marked for a very pale green star. That’s Uranus. Keep in mind it’s not very impressive. Even in a high powered telescope, Uranus only appears like a tiny pale featureless disc.
