The Moon joins Mars tomorrow morning

If you are out walking the dog tomorrow morning, look above the Eastern horizon and look for the crescent Moon and the planet Mars.

Mars and Moon finder chart. Friday 26 August 2011. 5.30 am AEST for Brisbane, South East Queensland, Australia.

Mars will be the slightly orange ‘star’ to the left of the Moon. The finder chart has been produced for Brisbane (and the rest of South East Queensland) but will be useful for residents across Eastern Australia. As an aside, Castor and Pollux are the two brightest stars in the ancient Greek constellation Gemini ‘The Twins’.
