Tonight: Crescent Moon joins Antares (in the ancient Greek constellation Scorpius)

If you have a moment, step outside tonight and look above the Western horizon for the crescent Moon. The brightest star below and to the left of the Moon is Antares (the brightest star in the ancient Greek constellation Scorpius the Scorpion). In Māori mythology, the Scorpion is not a scorpion but a giant fish hook that Māui pulled the North Island of New Zealand from the bottom of the ocean with.
