Planetarium venue requirements

Before contacting Paula Floyd, it is important to confirm that you have a suitable venue for the planetarium. Please refer to the below information first.

  • The planetarium is a large structure and requires a minimum space of 6 metres by 8 metres by 3.2 metres high (with no furniture or other obstacles inside the 6 by 8 metre floor area prior to inflation).
  • The planetarium is a soft air structure and cannot be set up outside.
  • The planetarium is not sound proof. It is strongly highly recommended that no other activity occurs in the hall in which the planetarium is set up while the planetarium is at your facility.
  • Access to electricity is required (two standard electrical outlets).
  • The venue should be clean and free of all furniture.
  • The venue must be lockable so that students cannot access the venue without being under teacher supervision.
