International Space Station visible in morning sky

While we have to watch the launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery Thursday morning (5.52am AEST) on NASA TV, if you happen to be an early riser you can see the International Space Station pass overhead in the morning sky for real. If you haven’t seen it before, it’s worth getting up and looking for it. It appears as a bright slowly moving star to the unaided eye.

The exact times and dates that the International Space Station will be visible on will vary depending on where you are in Australia. I have instructions on my website on how to obtain customised viewing information for your location here.
