Look up to see the International Space Station!

Over the next couple of nights, the International Space Station will be visible in the evening sky from locations across Eastern Australia.

With the successful docking of the Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station (more information here), the station will appear even brighter to the unaided eye. Under ideal condition, the station appears as a brilliant star to the unaided eye as it passes overhead.

The exact times vary depending on your location in Eastern Australia. Go here for information on how to get customised information for your location.

  1. Just saw what I thought was a moving star in the eastern-ish sky, partly obscured by clouds. Did a quick Google, found your site, and discovered it was the international space station. Thanks for the info.

  2. Nice to hear from you Steve. Glad I could help out with identifying the International Space Station.

    Regards,

    Paul Floyd.
