(Posted 19 July 2015) From Eastern Australia, the Moon had a very close daylight encounter with the planet Venus.
If you were lucky enough to be located North of the Gold Coast, then you would have seen the Moon occult (temporarily cover) the planet Venus. Observers at locations South of the Gold Coast only observed a close encounter between the two celestial bodies.
