Watch as Io eclipsed by Jupiter on Saturday 28 April 2018 (large binoculars or small telescope required).

(Posted 21 April 2018) Io will be eclipsed by Jupiter at 7.13 pm AEST on Saturday 28 April 2018. A large pair of binoculars or small telescope will allow you to watch as Io ‘disappears’ into Jupiter’s shadow.

To find Jupiter, just look to the East once the sky is dark. It will be the brightest ‘star’ located above the Eastern horizon.
