(Posted 3 June 2013) I thought I would try and get a photo of Jupiter before it disappears into the glare of the Sun and then conjunction on 20 June 2013.
The above photo won’t win any awards as the sky is too light. However, given how close Jupiter is to conjunction, I am happy that I got a photograph of it (plus Venus and Mercury) at all. For the record, Jupiter was invisible to the unaided eye but easily visible in my binoculars.
