NASA’s Insight mission is expected to land on Mars at 5.54 am AEST / 6.54 am Australian Eastern Daylight Savings time on Tuesday 27 November 2018. More event times (in U.S. Pacific Standard Time) can be found here – NASA InSight Landing on Mars: Milestones.
For those who love trivia, this time is ‘Earth Receive Time’. It takes eight minutes and seven seconds for a signal to travel from Mars to Earth. This is due to the distance between our two planets.

Mars is currently very easy to seen in the night sky. Once twilight ends, simply look above the Western horizon for a pale orange/reddish coloured star. Use the above chart to assist you in finding Mars.
