How young can you be and photograph the seventh planet from the Sun?

(Posted 9 October 2014) How young can you be and still successfully photograph the seventh planet from the Sun? Turns out the answer is eight. My good friend’s son Hadar (named after the second brightest of the two ‘Pointer  stars‘) photographed the lunar eclipse last night and succeeded in photographing Uranus. Uranus by coincidence was at opposition last night. For the photographically curious, the image was captured with a tripod mounted Canon 400D DSLR with a Canon 75 – 300 mm lens working @ 300mm and f5.6. The exposure was for ½ second and the camera was set to ISO 800.
