Watch Solar Eclipse Webcast now!

Today’s Partial Solar Eclipse is now underway. The eclipse is being webcast live from a telescope in Norway. The eclipse is not directly visible from Australia. Note that there is no commentary and that the webcast consists of static images being uploaded to the website. You are able to download any of the images from a drop down menu.

(Text from website) Astro.viten.no shows live the major celestial events in Norway 2011-2012. The next event is the rare eclipse of the midnight sun June 1.

The eclipse started at 6.37 am AEST. Maximum eclipse at the webcast location will be at 7.31am AEST and the eclipse ends in Norway at 8.22am AEST this morning.

The next eclipse visible for Australia will be a Total Lunar Eclipse on the morning of 16 June 2011.
