Log on now to watch Venus probe and Solar Sail mission launch

Update (7.41am AEST): The launch has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency will shortly launch a H-2A rocket containing the Akatsuki spacecraft and the worlds first solar sail (from the Tanegashima Space Center, Japan).

The launch will be webcast on the Internet.

Launch is scheduled to occur today at 7.44 am AEST.   Go here for the previous post on this launch.
