If you are an early riser, don’t forget to look above the North East horizon for Jupiter and Venus.
They are the brightest objects in the morning sky. Note that even a pair of binoculars if held steady will show Jupiter as a disc with (depending on when you look) up to four faint stars either side of it. These are Jupiters’ four largest moons.
Update: Wow! I was up early enough Tuesday morning (24 July 2012) to take a photo of Jupiter and Venus as the sky was starting to lighten. They were such an amazing sight.
