Brisbane and Gold Coast satellite watchers look up! Excellent Hubble Space Telescope pass tonight

The Hubble Space Telescope makes an excellent pass or flyover of Brisbane and the Gold Coast tonight between 7.56pm and 8.02pm AEST. It will be easy to spot (assuming we have clear skies) and will look like a reasonably bright slow moving star.

The easiest way to spot the Hubble Space Telescope is to use the ‘Summer Saucepan’ (or what amateur astronomers refer to as the belt and sword of Orion ‘The Hunter’)  as a guide to looking for it. Just look under the ‘Summer Saucepan at exactly 8pm AEST. The Hubble Space Telescope will be the reasonably bright slowly moving star passing from left to right under the ‘Summer Saucepan’.

Further information on customised satellite viewing for your location can be found here on this website.
