Queensland teenager launchs balloon to edge of space!

(P0sted 4 December 2015) This ABC story and video (also see below) about a Cecil Plains, Queensland teenager who has build his own telescope, does astro-photography and launched a balloon with camera to the ‘edge of space’ is worth reading / watching.

As an aside, the balloon did only reach 33 kilometers above the Earth’s surface. 100 kilometers is the officially defined lower limit of space though. That does not detract from his achievement.
