Planetarium presentations at Science in ACTion 2017 school day

(Posted 12 August 2017) A big thanks to Ingrid McCarthy (Inspiring Australia ACT) for making it possible for me to be at the 2017 Science in ACTion school day yesterday (Friday 11 August 2017).

It was a great day with school groups from a diverse range of schools across the ACT taking part in a short planetarium program. For virtually everyone who took part, it was their first time in a planetarium program. Most had no idea what a planetarium was or what it did before they went inside. When the lights went down, the response was a uniform “Wow!” from one particular group of primary school students.

Apologises that the above photo isn’t an ‘action shot’. Once the school groups arrived, there was no time to take an image of me in action.
