Planetarium presentations at 2017 YMCA Space Camp

(Posted 2 October 2017) Yesterday, I had the pleasure of running planetarium sessions for the 47 participants in the first of this years YMCA Space Camps held in Canberra, Australia. Participants spent five days taking part in all sorts of activities including launching rockets, coding and driving robot cars, problem solving and of course taking part in planetarium programmes.

Officially I am on holidays but I couldn’t resist the invitation to take my planetarium along to contribute to the Space Camp programme. If you are in Canberra, you can arrange for me to bring the planetarium along to your education facility/school. More about the programmes I can present can be found here on the Canberra Portable Planetarium website.

The above cutout was in the campsite dining room. I couldn’t resist having my photograph taken.

The sessions were a huge hit with all participants. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the programme.
